2026 Coaches
This is Coach Ashley's 3rd season as head coach of the Roxbury Racers. She was previously an assistant coach for 10 seasons. She swam for the team for 12 years. In addition to coaching the Racers, Coach Ashley has coached at the West Morris YMCA and now coaches for the Mount Olive High School swim team, where she also works in the same district as a fourth-grade special education teacher. Coach Ashley's favorite stroke is backstroke.
Coach Cooper was a swimmer for the Roxbury Racers and first started as an assistant coach in 2005. He took some time off between 2014-2019 then rejoined the team as an assistant coach. During the school year he is a high school coach for New Providence High School, coaching Winter swim team and outdoor Track and Field. He is a science teacher at New Providence Middle School. Coach Cooper’s favorite stroke is butterfly.
This is Coach Michael's 6th year coaching the Racers. He swam for the Racers for 12 seasons. Coach Michael also coaches at the West Morris Area YMCA, and he swam for his college team, Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was selected for the 2023-24 Academic All-District Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both in the pool and in the classroom. Coach Michael's favorite stroke is breaststroke.
This is Coach Caitlyn's 3rd season coaching the Racers. Along with being a coach, she was a member of the team for 12 years. She is attending Fairleigh Dickinson University studying psychology with a minor of forensics and criminology. She is also continuing her swimming career in college, and her favorite stroke is mid-distance freestyle. Coach Caitlyn has worked as a lifeguard at Horseshoe Lake for the last few summers. Additionally, she teaches swim lessons and was a member of the swim team at the West Morris YMCA.
This is Coach Anna's 3rd season coaching the Racers. She is attending Seton Hall University majoring in Occupational Therapy. Coach Anna was previously a swim instructor at Horseshoe Lake, and was on the team as a swimmer for 11 years. Coach Anna's favorite stroke is butterfly.
This is Coach Aidan’s 1st season coaching the Racers. He previously swam with the Racers for 13 years. He is attending SUNY Geneseo where he is majoring in Biology. He also swims on the swim team at Geneseo. Aidan’s favorite stroke is butterfly.
Coach Jen retired from coaching the Roxbury Racers after more than three decades on deck, but she’s finding it hard to stay away from her favorite swimmers, families, and coaches, so you’re likely to still see her around. Jen got her start in swimming with the Racers at age 7 and has been involved in the sport ever since. She is the librarian at Fair Lawn High School and also coaches the high school swim team there. Jen’s favorite stroke is butterfly.
This is Sofia’s 3rd season as a Roxbury Racer! She is also a swimmer on the WMY swim team and a varsity swimmer for Blair Academy. Sofia’s favorite event is the 100 Breaststroke.
This is Charlotte’s 6th season as a Roxbury Racer! She enjoys working with the youngest swimmers and teaching them new skills. Charlotte’s favorite event is the 50 back and 50 free.
This is Jack’s 6th season as a Roxbury Racer! He is also a swimmer on the WMY swim team and a varsity swimmer for Roxbury High School. Jack’s favorite event is the 500 free.
